A proud Michigander, Sadie Yarrington began dancing in the wonderful city of Ann Arbor. In 2011 she received a B.F.A in Dance and B.S. in Anthropology from the University of Michigan. She caught the travel bug and in the fall of 2012 relocated to Los Angeles after traveling, training and performing in Cuba (Oyu Oro Afro-Cuban Experimental Dance Ensemble), Australia (Buzz Dance Theatre, BalletLab), and New York (Sounds in Motion). Since then, Sadie has worked with choreographers such as Dianne McIntyre and Stephan Koplowitz. A passionate educator, Sadie can be found teaching at Culver City High School, Inner-City Arts, and other community organizations in the Los Angeles area.
In addition to dance, she loves musical theater and has choreographed and/or directed over 12 high school and university productions. Currently, Sadie is choreographing an off-broadway show (Press Play) to premiere in New York in October 2013. In the next 10 years she’d like to improvise her way across the country and by 20 years from now...have boogied around the world! Fairly new to Los Angeles, she is eager, excited and humbled at the opportunity to join Invertigo Dance Theatre and become a part of the quirky and loving family!
