About the Event:

Invertigo's short film, Mine, will be screened at the Orange County Dance Festival!

This film was shot in an abandoned mine in the Mojave. The piece is rooted in shared strength - two people who know one another deeply but are continually finding new layers. They relate to one another without predefined gender roles - both dancers lift one another in virtuosic and inventive ways, and they relate to one another in quirky, personal moments.

Choreographed by Laura Karlin, in collaboration with the dancers
Danced by Jessica Dunn and Alex Malachi Middleton
Camerawork by Laura Karlin and Joe Lambie
Colorist: Glyn Gray, StirStudios Design

The Orange County Dance Festival will be hosted by AkomiDance
at the Rose Center Theater in Westminster, CA.
On April 2, 2017, dancers and choreographers from all over Southern California will unite for an event that connects these artists to each other and to their supporters.

Aimed at exposing the talents that surround the greater LA and OC areas, OCDF aims to serve as a catalyst for bridging the gap between the commercial and concert dance industries.

The Orange County Dance Festival welcomes artists who have proven to be active members of their communities, who express a passionate desire to further pursue a career in the arts, and who demonstrate a virtuousic expertise in each of their genres.
