Leonix is an ensemble theatre company that devises original performance work based on community need and social reform. A hybrid of the Lion and the Phoenix, Leonix draws upon the courage to create and constantly renews and redefines social dynamics to physicalize stories and fuse artistic disciplines. We regenerate old traditions and breathe mystery into the commonplace to ignite the passions of new audiences by making visually spectacular theatre that gets you in the heart; fiercely exploratory, yet accessible; something you could never find on television.

Adam Parson is a popular teacher and choreographer, as well as the Artistic Director of Commonality Dance Company. "I was born in Nairobi, Kenya. I discovered dance at age 26, when my sister asked me to take her friend to his dance studio. Before this I was a systems analyst and bookeeper in Georgetown, Washington D.C. After watching people at that studio jump, kick, turn, run, hit the rhythms I was hooked. I have been fortunate to travel around the world, meeting and teaching some wonderful people(and eat some great food!) It is important to me to make connections all over through dance, as I believe it we can all learn to communticate through it."
