LA Holiday ARTBash

- A spectacular evening of drinking, dancing and many, many LA arts organizations
Thanks to those who joined us for a spectacular evening of drinking, dancing and many many LA arts organizations. Invertigo performed in the 1st Annual Los Angeles Holiday ARTBash.
We danced in a cage of holiday lights and hung out with the vaudevillian derelicts, the dazzling glamour fiends, the glittering creatures, the artists, the fat cats, the high rollers, the destitute and the wild ones.
Saturday, December 13th, 8 PM - 2 AM
at the A+D Museum
(across the street from the main entrance of LACMA)
Check out the ARTBash Website for more information on all the amazing artists who participated.
MANY THANKS TO NEED THEATER AND THE HOLLYWOOD FRINGE FESTIVAL!
ARTBash 1929/2008 is a celebration of the Los Angeles performing arts community. We gave vintage themes a modern edge, and invited all Angelinos to realize their inner tycoon amidst the largest economic downturn since the Great Depression.
Fatcat partygoers were treated to two arenas of modern vice mixed with classic opulence. In the Ballroom, guests danced and celebrated in luxury while sipping fine beverages and reveling in decadence and excess. Outside on the Plaza, partygoers slummed it with burlesque beauties and Hooverville tramps.
Invertigo Dance Theatre joined many other arts organizations in this party, which featured:
• Dance Performances • Live Music • Live Visual Art
• Open Bar • Absinthe Lounge • Burlesque
Choreography by Sarri Sanchez, who performs with Invertigo and co-founded IN/EX Dance Project.
Danced by Chelsea Asman, Bahareh Ebrahimzadeh, Stephanie Jamieson, Laura Karlin, Sarri Sanchez
Live music by Toby Karlin and Lucas Martinez
