Hyosun Choi of Southern California began her training in ballroom dancing at age 7, winning National and Regional Ballroom Dance Competitions. At the age of ten she attended Ko Soo Hee Dance School, performing Korean cultural dancing for six years. In California, she mainly studied at Australian Institute of Dramatic Arts, Beverly Hills Playhouse, and Edge Performing Arts Center. In New York, she trained at Atlantic Acting School, Alvin Ailey, Broadway Dance Center and STEPS, worked with Yung-li Dance, Noa Sagie: A Dance Project, Gabrielle Lansner and Company, LiNK! Dance Company and Vissi Dance Theater, and performed in Off-Broadway shows such as The Shanghai Gesture (Mirror Repertory), Nutcracker:Rated R (Theater of the New City) and Because of Beth (Workshop Theater). Other dance credits include performing at the Manhattan Center Studios, Battery Park Downtown Dance Festival, Lincoln Center Plaza, International Dance Festival, Central Park Summerstage Fest, Dancers Responding to Aids Summer Dance Fest, and NuDance Festival.
