Celine Chai

Celine Chai is a creative thinker whose artistic motivations are inspired by cultural and human experience. Originally from Malaysia, Celine has lived in Indonesia and China before moving out to sunny Los Angeles at the age of 17. In 2020, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Loyola Marymount University (LMU) with a BBA in Marketing and a BA in Dance. During her time at LMU, she performed works by esteemed artists including, WHYTEBERG, Jessica Harper, Scott Heinzerling, and James Gregg. Alongside Kelsey Ang, a fellow Southeast Asian dancer/artist, the pair debuted an original piece titled “Common Grounds” which explored the intersection between dance and third culture. With infinite imagination and a knack for creative problem-solving, Celine found herself immersed in the world of advertising and co-founded NinetyEight – a creative agency with a mission of helping brands better speak to and with Gen-Z. Celine hopes to pursue a career that allows her to combine her interdisciplinary skills of marketing and dance on a global scale… starting with Invertigo!
