Eric Mason

Eric has performed as principal cellist for several orchestras over the years as well as being a member of the SCSBOA All-Southern and CODA/CMEA California All-State Honor Orchestras. He is an alumnus of UCLA with a B.A. in Business and Economics with a Minor in Music and New Media, where he performed as a member of the UCLA Philharmonia Orchestra. He has composed multiple evening length and segment work for dance companies and choreographers including LA Contemporary Dance Company and Invertigo Dance Theatre. His compositions and sound design have also been created for commercial clients including Google, The Natural History Museum, ITVS, and many others. Eric’s musical style combines both his love for classical instrumentation and contemporary musical sensibilities. Outside of music, Eric is also an accomplished Flame artist and Visual Effects Supervisor for commercial and film work. He lives in LA with his wife Kate and two kids, and enjoys a good hammock.
