INVERT/ED

Where youth dance their heart & soul into stories made through imagination, collaboration, and communication.

Invert/ED activates dance as a vibrant way for youth to experience creative ownership, discovery, physical awareness, and kinesthetic learning. With a focus on storytelling and cultural expression, our teaching artists emphasize theatricality, emotionality, and interdisciplinary connections. Throughout the workshop series, youth develop teamwork, innovative thinking, embodied expression and language skills, and we often culminate with a performance for peers and family spotlighting dance created by the youth. Invertigo partners with schools, after-school centers, and cultural institutions to develop unique dance education, tailored to a range of ages, abilities and cultures.

Invert/ED offers ongoing classes, one-off workshop series, arts residencies and community-building events to kindergarten through pre-professional students.
