Jonathan Rios
Jonathan Rios is a Southern California-based fundraising professional with a passion for building vibrant arts communities. A lifelong musician and active community participant, he is especially drawn to organizations like Invertigo that center creativity, accessibility, and connection.
Jonathan has dedicated nearly his entire career to the craft of individual giving, with a particular focus on major gifts strategy, donor engagement, and building meaningful philanthropic relationships. He previously served as Director of Major Gifts & Parent Giving at the USC Thornton School of Music, where he led efforts to grow philanthropic support and deepen connections with its unique donor community. He currently serves as Major Gift Officer at Pasadena Humane, where he advances philanthropic strategy following the Eaton Fire.
In addition to his professional work, Jonathan is actively engaged in advancing the nonprofit and arts sectors. He serves as a board member of the Association of California Symphony Orchestras and as Secretary and Co-Chair, Emerging Leaders for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Los Angeles Chapter. Locally, he also supports the Convalescent Aid Society as a member of its Annual Event Committee, helping expand access to durable medical equipment for individuals in need.
He holds a Master of Science in Arts Leadership from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in Music from the University of La Verne. As a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Jonathan brings both strategic insight and a deep commitment to the field of philanthropy.
