Lennon Torres

Lennon Torres is a leader at Heat Initiative, where she builds campaigns confronting online child sexual abuse and exploitation and pushes powerful technology companies to take responsibility for the harm their platforms enable. She works closely with survivors and families impacted by digital platform failures, bringing a trauma‑informed, trust‑centered approach to public advocacy and systemic change.
A trans advocate, former child star, and founding partner of The Attention Studio, Lennon works at the intersection of narrative, culture, and accountability, helping people reclaim their time and sense of self from extractive technologies. She first became known at age thirteen as a competitive dancer on Dance Moms and Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition, experiences that shaped her understanding of power, visibility, and control. Trained across dance, strategic communications, and public policy advocacy at the University of Southern California, she brings an embodied and systems‑level lens to her work.
Lennon also serves on the Curatorial Council of Invertigo Dance Theatre, where she helps guide artistic vision and programming with a focus on embodiment, care, and work that reflects the political realities of the communities it serves.
